About Us
We started FitCompass because fitness deserved better.
A small team in Bengaluru building the platform that connects members, trainers, and gyms — because every fitness journey that starts strong deserves to last.
Our Story
The gym hasn't changed in 30 years. Everything else has.
When Manajit joined his first gym in the early 1990s, the routine was simple: a trainer assessed him, handed over a workout plan on a chart, demonstrated it across a few sessions, and left him on his own. Three decades later, very little has changed. Banking, healthcare, education — every part of life has been reshaped by technology. But inside most Indian gyms, the plan still arrives on a chart or a WhatsApp message, with no tracking, no ongoing coaching, and no connection once the member walks out the door.
Manajit had been inconsistent himself — never short of a gym, always short of motivation and someone to keep him going. That's the gap FitCompass was built to close.
30+ years
The gym experience has barely changed since the 1990s
The hardest part isn't starting — it's staying consistent.
Our Mission
We exist to elevate every fitness journey — turning scattered effort into steady progress, and fitness into a lifestyle that lasts.
The Founders
Built by people who've spent decades building products — and going to gyms.

Manajit Rath
Co-founder & CEO
Two decades of techno-product leadership across Bengaluru's startup ecosystem. Founding team member at SureWaves Mediatech (2007–2022), where he helped build one of India's most patented media-tech companies. Has been a gym-goer — consistent and inconsistent — since the early 1990s.

Nischitha M R
Co-founder
Product builder with a decade of large-scale tech experience — and a gym-goer who knows exactly what it feels like to start strong and lose direction. She brings the execution focus that turns what FitCompass believes into what FitCompass ships.
Why Now
The right moment for India's fitness industry.
India's gym economy is at an inflection point
India's organized gym sector is growing fast, with thousands of new gyms opening across cities each year. But most still operate the way they did a decade ago — leaving a wide gap between what gyms offer and what members expect.
Members expect more than four walls and equipment
This generation of Indian gym-goers has grown up on apps for food, banking, learning, and shopping. They expect their gym to feel just as modern, personal, and connected.
Trainers need tools, not just floors
Most trainers in India are talented, hard-working, and underserved by technology. A trainer managing 30+ members deserves better than memory and WhatsApp. FitCompass gives trainers the data layer they've never had.
Believe fitness can be better? So do we.
